Who said a summer project could'nt be covered by snow ?
The past two monthes, I wanted to challenge myself and I worked on a realtime environment showcasing an old house lost in a mountain covered by the snow. That was the first time I put that amount of snow in a project, and I learned few interesting things about optimization or procedural generation with Houdini and Unreal's blueprint system.
You can find here some rendered sequences, some screenshots, breakdowns about the fence spline system, the snow covering blueprint system and even more.
Rendered on Unreal Engine 5.5, modeled with Maya, Speedtree, Houdini and Zbrush, and textured with Substance painter and Sampler.
